The 500 KB limit is a maximum, not an exact byte count. PixNimble searches for the highest JPEG or WebP quality that fits, then reduces dimensions if needed. This larger budget often retains more detail, though the result depends on the original image. Here, 1 KB is 1,024 bytes and 1 MB is 1,048,576 bytes.
